Guilty Pleasure #3: Art Supplies!

I’m a nut for new drawing utensils, markers, pen, pencils, paint brushes I love them all. I’m a stickler for finding a good consistent brand that works well for me. I’ve recently acquired some new makers especially mad for lettering, I’m always weary of using markers for text work on art, but, this wonderful pack of Faber-Castell’s are probably the best thing to happen to me when it comes to text work. There light, thin, and don’ smudge or bleed like bigger markers. They come seven in a pack of bright colors. They can do thick and thin lines and are acid-free! So if your looking for good calligraphy marks pick these up! They run about $16. Not to bad for such great quality. Making this one of my new fave Guilty Pleasures.

Now as far as drawing pencils go I only use Derwent Graphic. They go from the lightest and hardest lead to the heaviest and softest. They’re prefect for shading and black and white sketch work. I think I paid about $11 for them at Blick art materials store.

Guilty Pleasure #2: Are you ready for some Football?!

It’s that time of year again people!

The summer to autumn transition is upon us. The weather is cooling, the sun is going down eariler, soon the leaves on the tress will start changing into those magnificent reds, yellows, and oranges. Yes it’s that time again, where fall fashion is the haps and all the ladies (myself included) will be on the hunt for cute sweaters and fierce boots! Yet 40% of f fall wardrobe sells isn’t what tickles my fancy… No, ladies and gentlemen, what gets me all tingly is the beautiful gridiron action of the football field which makes for a great guilty pleasure during the fall and winter months. This girlie has been dying to see what the country’s great football league has up it’s sleeves this year since the drafts! With all the new rookie recurits (Tebow, Bradford, Clausen), players being let go, and QB’s being scrutinized how could you not be ready for football season. Preseason already has a few teams making an impact… or lack there of (my poor lost cowboys)smh… Once the regular season gets start (which is less than 2wks away now) It’s No-Holds-Bar! Sissy and I have already start lining up our top five teams this season with the Colts being #1 on her list and the Pats on mine (our faviorite teams repectively) So people who you got? Cause it’s time to start choosing sides!

Here’s my top 5:

  1. Patriots
  2. Vikings
  3. Cowboys
  4. Cardinals
  5. Titans

*Note to the ladies*

If  you don’t like football (which I can’t understand) but ok, if you don’t like it that’s cool, just don’t irritate your man purposely while the games on. He is not (I repeat) not interested in anything you have to say during the game… So save it for half time and catch him on a bathroom break (and have a snack to hook him) just shut up when the game comes back on ‘kay?

Thanks MGMT & girls who love sports

Guilty Pleasure #1

Sennheiser PXC 450 NoiseGard Active Noise-Canceling Headphones

Sennheiser PXC 450 NoiseGard Active Noise-Canceling Headphones

I’m a huge music fan. I bang anything in any genre if it makes me feel good and gets my emotions going. I especially love music through a great pair of headphones and these look absolutely delicious! I haven’t gotten them yet, but my birthday is creeping up in 2mos so their on my personal birthday shopping list. They also happen to be from my favorite headphone brand Gummy. Here’s the 411 on this hotness:

Features

  • Outstanding sound thanks to adaptive baffle damping and patented Duofol diaphragm
  • Best possible protection from outside noise (up to 90%) with NoiseGard technology
  • Talk through function allows you to talk undisturbed while wearing headphones
  • Full accessories: soft case, 2 audio adapters (in-flight entertainment and 6.3mm/1/4″), batteries
  • Audio always works, even in passive mode and without batteries

**I checked the website and there was a “Too Low to Display” where the price should have been, which in my book is always a good thing. I’ll update though if I get an actual pricing.
